
Businesses using Microsoft 365 on subscriptions will see pricing changes take effect from 1 July 2026, as Microsoft introduces updates across several commercial licence plans.
What Is Changing?
Microsoft is increasing the cost of a number of Microsoft 365 commercial licences.
The percentage increase varies depending on the licence type, with many plans seeing rises ranging from around 5% to 17%.
Why Is Microsoft Increasing Monthly Subscription Prices?
Microsoft states that the pricing changes reflect continued investment in the Microsoft 365 platform, including enhancements to:
- Security and compliance capabilities
- Collaboration and communication tools
- Cloud infrastructure and services
- Device and endpoint management
- AI-powered productivity features
Over the past several years, Microsoft has significantly expanded the functionality available within Microsoft 365, and the company says the updated pricing aligns with the value now included in these subscriptions.
